Celebrate the rhythm, roots, and rich cultural traditions of Latin America at Ritmo & Raíces, a free, family-friendly celebration at Denver Union Station.

Hosted by the Mexican Cultural Center and presented by Denver Union Station, this inaugural celebration kicks off the season of Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations with an afternoon of live music, traditional and contemporary dance, food, history, family activities, and community.

Sunday, September 6  from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Denver Union Station's Terminal Bar Patio & Plaza. This is a free and family-friendly event featuring live cultural performances throughout the afternoon from:

Sangre de México — Mexico
Qhaswa Perú — Peru
Mariachi Internacional Denver — México
Estudio Colombia — Colombia

Beyond the stage, guests can enjoy free face painting, bilingual historic tours of Denver Union Station, hands-on craft stations, and community partner activations throughout the celebration. Explore Denver Union Station’s restaurants, bars, and cafés, with participating destinations offering Latin American-inspired food and beverage specials available for purchase. Guests 21+ can also stop by a donation-based tequila tasting experience featuring a selection of Mexican spirits. Valid ID required. Hispanic Heritage Month officially begins September 15. Join us as we kick off the season early with an afternoon celebrating the rhythm, roots, and cultures of Denver’s Latin American community.
